Special Note on Deadlines:
>> If entry fee and form is received in the mail prior to July 9, 2010 for Men's Singles and prior to July 16, 2010 for all other events, players will receive a tourney gift.
>> If entry fee and form is received in the mail after July 7, 2010 for Men's Singles and after July 14, 2010 for all other events, players will not receive a tourney gift.
>> Entries vial e-mail or phone might be taken up to July 12, 2010 for singles and July 19, 2010 for doubles by 6 p.m., but player will be charged an extra $5.00 and will not receive a tourney gift.

Tournament Format: |

The tournament is unseeded with mixed levels. The mean level is 3.0-3.5;
highest level 4.5.

Adult events are 2 out of 3 six game sets with a 12 pt. tiebreaker at 6-all. Week night rounds will employ a third set supertiebreaker in lieu of a third set. If extreme heat or rain affects play, a third set superbreaker will be used in successive rounds.

All junior matches consist of one 8 game pro set/12 pt. tiebeaker at 8-all.

There is a consolation bracket for first round losers.

Limited to 64 in Men's Singles.

Limited to 32 teams in Men's Doubles.
- Limited to 16 teams in Women's Doubles.

Limited to 16 in junior Girls' and Boys' Singles age 15 and under with an NTRP rating between 1.0 and 3.0.
- Limited to 16 in Boys' Singles age 12 and under.

Start times will be posted on this site's home page by 9 p.m. on the Tuesday or Wednesday before your event.

About the Director |
John Pelkey is the founder and director of Dana's Tourney, which began in 1992. In 1993, along with partner Guy Couture, John was the men's doubles champioin at Dana's.
He is a United States Professional Tennis Association, United States National Tennis Academy certified tennis teaching professional and a member of the USRSA (United States Racket Stringers Association).
He began the tennis program at Pinkerton, coaching the girls' and boys' teams for the first 6 years, and he has been the boys' coach of the Astros' boys tennis team for 30 years. John has been a teaching pro and tennis director at 4 clubs. He is working on opening a new tennis facility, the New Hampshire Tennis HUB, L.L.C., and he has organized the Nutfield Tennis Association, which will bring a multitude of tennis experiences to the area. He currently gives lessons in the local area via appointment. He has a total of 39 years of experience in the game. |
